Heading Home...

We have been up since about 3 am... and it's now 5:30 am.... and we are heading towards the U.S.  Sort of a bittersweet end to the trip... it's nice to head home, but it was a time that all of the students loved.  Hope for no layovers... and we'll see you parents soon.

A road trip to Athens...

Well, today we stopped at Delphi where there were absolutely no tour guides because they are on strike.  So Mike and I guided the students ourselves with our VAST knowledge of the Delphi ruins.  Most of the time, we declared that this building or that building was "very famous."  Mr. C almost had heat stroke (it was pretty hot today) so he went back down and I continued the journey to the top of the mountain.  Afterwards, super yummy slushes to cool the body temperatures and the boys trying to determine what was better:  Xbox 360 or Playstation 3.  I still am not sure.  We were then stuck in traffic for about an hour because of a wreck and/or highway construction.  Once again, still unsure as to why it took so long.  However, the arguments soon subsided when our tour director put in the movie "Troy."  Indeed, we did get into Athens at around 8:30, checked in, and got some good food before sending all the little angels off to dreamland.  :)  We leave for the Cruise tomorrow... and the kids are psyched.  Hope all is well in the land of Oz.

What day is this?!?

Sorry everyone for taking so long to write back again. I will let Adrienne know. I'm sure she'll be super excited to hear about Jury Duty. :) We are in Greece at the moment in the town of Kalambaka. It is very famous for it's monasteries that are on top of large mountainous regions. In fact, in one of the 007 movies, James Bond jumps out of one of the monasteries (but I'm not sure which movie). I'll leave you to figure out which one on your spare time. :)

Tomorrow we head to Athens, yet we really don't do too much in Athens until after the cruise. I will let all of the students know that their expendures are depleting fast, and I'm sure they will be EXTREMELY concerned. :) Ok, gotta go for now. I'll write again soon!

Hey Adrienne

Just a note to let you know that you have received your first opportunity to perform your civic duty. (AKA a jury summons!) No worries your dad and I are having you excused based upon the fact the fact that you are not yet 18.

On another note, I am certain you are keeping a detailed ledger of your expenditures. The bank shows that you have also used more than half of your monies at this point as well and you have two weeks to go!

Friday, June 5th

Bon giorno everyone,

Just a quick note that all the students are fine and safe in Florence, Italy and heading to Rome tomorrow.  Jamie... I talked to Lindsay and she's gonna call you tomorrow to make sure everything is gravy with the bank account.  The kids are doing well.... and I don't think they are too homesick yet.  We'll see... :)  For now... Arrivederci.

Lindsay, I spoke to the bank today and they've noted in your account that you're in Europe so you shouldn't have any more trouble getting money. You have gone through over half of what you took though, so if you don't think that's right check with Mr Daniels or Mr Calloway to make sure you're doing what you need to do with the different exchanges. You've still got 2 weeks to go, so slow down on the cash flow sister! Love you! Have fun! Mom

Wednesday, June 3rd

Hello all,

The students are all alive and well in Lucerne, Switzerland.  It is extremely lovely here.  It reminds us of Colorado... but in Europe.  :)  Thanks Jamie for following along.  Sorry I haven't updated for a few days; we've had a difficult time finding internet access so far.  Paris was eventful to say the least... details to follow on our return.  Tomorrow we are off towards Florence, Italy.  The students are asking for more money in their bank accounts to buy better presents for you parents.  Also, Jamie... check Lindsay's account.  She says it's doing funky things, and she thinks that you forgot to tell the bank that she is out of town.  (This is becoming a blog to Jamie here.)

Ok.. we gotta get heading.  Will try to get pictures on here soon.  The students, Callaway, and I all send our love.

London

Hey parents (and others following),

We are in London, alive and well. We were verrry tired yesterday, but this morning, everyone seems to be refreshed and ready to head out. I don't have a lot of time today to write, but I will updated it a bit more later when we have our own internet. We are paying a 1.60 dollars to get it for 15 minutes, so I won't do too much on here. I will follow with pictures and whatnot later. The kids are in good hands. Til next time...
